This edited volume presents empirical findings on the treatment of Germany's colonial past in different historical-cultural contexts: within the Federal Republic of Germany, in the formerly colonized states of Namibia and Tanzania, and through the exemplary case of contemporary North Rhine-Westphalia. This book sheds light on the specificities and commonalities of geographically-bound historical-cultural debates. The volume will be published in 2026 by Wallstein Verlag.
